About FUTURE SWASHBUCKLER:
This game is a Souls-like sword-fighting adventure where you battle from morning to night, switching between two characters based on the situation. As a knight hired by a futuristic city, your goal is to fight smart and avoid taking too much damage to receive a high evaluation from your employer.
The company has strict standards, so if you don’t perform well for just one day, you’ll be fired, and the game will end. Each night, after a day of battles, your performance is evaluated. If you receive a B grade or higher, you can continue working and face a boss enemy. If your grade is lower, you’ll be fired, ending the game. Your objective is to survive and fight through five days, defeating the final boss on the fifth day to reach the ending.
At the beginning of each stage, you select one of ten cards. These cards affect the stamina and attack power of both you and your enemies or change the experience points you earn. The stats of the enemy and your character will adjust based on the card you choose.
One of your two characters is always highlighted with a blue frame around their face icon. When you switch to control this character, their attack power increases by 1.5 times. To fight effectively, you should always try to control the character with the boosted attack power.
Throughout the levels, you’ll find health crosses, experience gears, attack power swords, and reputation triangles scattered across the mini-map. Collecting these items will help you improve your stats and reputation with the company. You can upgrade your swords up to three times, with each upgrade having a rarity level and random values.
Health crosses restore 50 health points for both characters when collected. You’ll need to fight through five days to complete the game.
If the game ends, you’ll have to start from the beginning, but you’ll keep your sword upgrades.
*Note: The game only supports XBOX controllers and does not allow keyboard controls.
